Backslide is the second song All Eyes published ahead of their EP release. It is a little more stripped down than their previous single Spectre, and it's also close to the band's somber dreampop spirit.
The band states: "Lyrically, this song is about losing touch with a loved one, particularly in the darkness and miasma of misinformation that affected so many this past year. We think it's important to find the micro-moments where there’s still common ground and connection, if for no other reason than to provide a tether to a common understanding."
