XOR (pronounced 'ex or') is the project created by Matthew, the bassist of the post punk band Secret Shame. For his solo act XOR ventures into post punk with a new wave feel. The new single Saturn Returns is exactly the embodiment of that sound. “I wasn't like, I'm gonna write a dark album,” Matthew says. “That’s just what came out.” The melancholic atmosphere in the sound of XOR is natural of a keen artist's time in quarantine when all was conceived. XOR's upcoming album was created in the musician’s home outside Asheville, North Carolina.
