KOKO, the solo project by singer/songwriter Costanza Delle Rose from Italian post punk Be Forest, releases the debut album Shedding Skin, at the same time with new single Lonely Kingdom.
Lonely Kingdom is a low-key dreampop number which displays the project's delicate side through contemplative lyrics and an underlying sense of melancholy. Compared to the sound of Be Forest, this is a different creative direction for the artist, and it seems to be succeeding from the start.
Shedding Skin is out through Be Forest’s longtime label home, the Italian-American independent imprint We Were Never Being Boring Collective.
