Dream Room is a new dreampop band originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne and currently based in Melbourne, Australia. Ride is their first single and the first track Dream Room completely realized, from an acoustic ballad into an ambitious shoegaze piece.
“It’s a song about re-discovering a feeling and being afraid of its power,” comments the band's guitarist, vocalist and founder Nad Khan. “Even though I was surrounded by loving people during the pandemic, I had a really tough time physically and mentally. I felt alone and then began to reconnect with my creative side, which was something I was very apprehensive about. I think Ride is just a culmination of all those things, but specifically pushing on through tough times in our lives and breaking through to a better place, no matter how temporary that may be.”
While their debut EP is still in progress, Dream Room make their presence felt with their first ever offering.
