Experimental project Bananan Tamago releases new EP, a day and the eternity, from which comes Wenjie, an ambient electronica track and animated accompanying video loaded with cyborg imagery and aesthetics.
The track draws its concept from the science fiction novel
The artists explain: "Here we want to take Wenjie’s figure as a touch point, focusing on her personality, her feelings, her emotions, and anything else lacked in the novel but attributed to humanity, which in this age is more easily to be vanished when massive 5G antennas being built and Elon Musk launching his starlink satellites. At present, can we all relate more to Wenjie’s faded individual image?"
Wenjie is a collaboration of Lixing Yang (Shanghai, China / Munich, Germany ) and Alex Traka (Frankfurt, Germany).
A day and the eternity is out through the independent imprint Internal Arson whose aim is to explore the potentials of storytelling in sound art and music through many different means and styles of artistic expression.
