From Gothenburg, Sweden, Boy With Apple return with their first single in one and a half years, following their debut EP which came out in late 2020. Despite its upbeat exterior, Strawberry Boy finds the dreampop trio in a darker territory.
The song arrives sounding agitated and forceful, beginning in a simple yet affecting manner and then expanding into an addictive melody with imaginative instrumentals and unsettling lyrics concerning current social disaster.
Boy With Apple's Zara Henriksson, Saga Fransson, and Tim Hedlund have grown stronger as a band since their formation, and last Fall they entered the studio with producer Guggi Data from bands like Westkust and Makthaverskan.
