Musician Eugene San's Go With Strangers project has published the debut EP Finding Ikigai, a work full of shoegaze and post rock soundscapes, as well as guitar-based alternative rock features which mingles melody with intensity and elegance.
Today, Today is a magnificent and extremely melodic song which brings to mind nineties indie rock and shoegaze. Finding Ikigai fascinates with its well-expressed melancholy as a whole, thanks to its five-song totality and combination of gentle vocals, forceful guitars, and crisp production.
“Writing this new EP was a beautiful escape from reality for me,” said Eugene. “Into another epic, and nebulous world with metallic but lush terrains. Vast landscape of lilac tinted clouds that stretches far beyond the eye can see, with the emergence of a short-lived passing storm... I am grateful for the experience.”
