Piggy Bank by Sniffany & The Nits

Darkenin Heart

Sniffany & The Nits is a London, UK band made up of members of Joanna Gruesome, Ex-Void, and The Tubs. Their new track Piggy Bank is a two-minute blast that debuts the band rather effectively.

Vocalist and lyricist Sister Sniffany describes the new song as "a funny little song about transactional, empty relationships. Instead of focusing on something real or shameful within myself it's more just influenced by my favourite show Sex and The City. Purposefully singing as a despised, misogynistic caricature concocted from a pick up artist-y, red pilled, incel's perspective."

Consisting of stories about troubled characters on the lyrical front, The Unscratchable Itch finds Sniffany dealing with issues like love addiction, jealousy, domination, and self-loathing. Sniffany explains: “In Sniffany & The Nits I like to exorcise and exhibit the deeply shameful parts of myself that I see as the toxic aspects of my own femininity.”

The Nits are completed by O Williams (drums), Max 'Wozza' Warren (bass) - also of the left-field label Gob Nation, and Matt Green (guitar), all members of the UK DIY scene for years, with many different bands.

The debut album by Sniffany & The Nits, The Unscratchable Itch will be out via PRAH Recordings on July 8th, 2022.
