Hull post punk band LUMER release their new single Hatred is a Passion of Theirs, scheduled to be followed by an EP later in the year. It comes one and a half year after their previous EP Disappearing Act.
Hatred is a Passion of Theirs combines distorted guitars, aggressive percussion, a rhythmic bassline, as well as groaning vocals to produce a piece both addictive and harsh which makes for an enticing listen. It's a smart and ironic reflection on society's present day situation which recognizes the stark realities of our world.
The single is accompanied by a music video in collaboration with Fred Perry.
