Monster by Dilettante

Darkenin Heart

Dilettante's self-titled debut album, resurrected from For Jane, a Toronto indie fixture, displays the band's colorful and unique synthpop, which is full of personality and easily integrates a plethora of inspirations.

Monster was written by Maks Milczarczyk, a close colleague and album producer. Julia Wittmann of the pair digs deep into an intense character depiction as the song's lead vocalist, and Monster ultimately connects on many aspects.

Monster is a beautiful track "reimagines harsh words said to an ex." The song is accompanied with a dashing and highly exciting video that matches the music's vibrancy, with Dilettante citing Pulp and shoegaze as influences.
