Although its title suggests a darker direction, the new single by post punk band London Plane, presents a bit of a lighter side of theirs and their sophomore album Bright Black. Rather than their usual darkwave and post punk bent, this time the six-piece group are leaning toward a dreampop approach.
The Darker You is a jangly, power pop-tinged track that brings a glimmer of hope among the gloom found in the band's prior material.
London Plane are made up of David Mosey (guitar and vocals), Jessica Cole (vocals), Bryan Garbe (drums), Grant Parker (bass), Julian Tulip (synths) and Kristofer Widholm (guitar).
