With the first ever single, Twins Sport come to life as a production of the recent times spent in isolation. The band's infectious first single Always is a moving piece of garage gaze and dreampop values, arriving with a video created by Rick Maxwell Douglas.
Always is part of the impending album The Importance of Blinking, whose name is taken from a cartoon on politics in a pandemic era, and it's due out in 2023.
Always was written by Joshua Dawes, during a time when he reflected on his days with Flyying Colours, listening to shoegaze from the 2000s. The song expresses emotions stemming from isolation and longing for friends and family.
Michael Badger (King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, You Am I, Amyl and the Sniffers) recorded and produced the new song at Jaya Jaya music, and it includes vocals and production by Gemma O'Connor (Flyying Colours), as well as guest appearances by Michael Badger, Sam Dawes, and Jules Valentine.
