Your Worth by Bummer Camp

Darkenin Heart

Following their single release Gone Rotten from September 2021 Bummer Camp have released their self-titled debut EP, accompanied by a music video for the album opening track Your Worth. The solo act of Eli Frank, lead guitarist for New Jersey indie punk band Teenage Halloween who has also been active on other projects, Bummer Camp continue in a steady and reliable manner.

The video for Your Worth was shot by Luke Carr on location at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York, and follows Frank performing around various sites from the 1964 World's Fair.

"Most bummer camp tracks I started with the beat and then layered each new part on top until a solid idea formed," Eli Frank says about the creative process of Bummer Camp. "I always come up with lyrics last so that they fit into the vibe of the song, rather than the song fitting the vibe of the lyrics."

Between moody post punk and silky dreampop, Bummer Camp stands as something completely differentiated from Teenage Halloween, which is based on deft musicianship, and explores new and different creative directions.
