Post-Post- by The Psychotic Monks

Darkenin Heart

Post-Post- is the first single from the upcoming album by The Psychotic Monks, titled Pink Colour Surgery, and produced by Daniel Fox of Gilla Band. Having an improvisational character, the band's third album is expected to arrive "as an act of resistance to the ambient violence."

Post-Post- comes a video directed by Clara Marguerat, who previously directed The Psychotic Monks' videos for Closure and Isolation. The video also includes a performance by the French drag king artist Nixe Amère.

"At first, Post-Post- seems to be like a 2-in-1 song,” the band describe. “But in fact, it’s more like the two sides of the exact same coin, where the one part cannot exist without the other. It’s about one's relation to their body and feelings, how to interact with other people and how to deal with them in a post-romantic, post-social, post-covid, post-post- world."

The music video depicts a modernized version of the Nixie story, with the second half of it showing her liberating herself from inner demons. It comes based on ideas of self-awareness and communication in the modern world.

Pink Colour Surgery will be out on February 3rd, 2023 through Vicious Circle / FatCat Records.
