Soft Set began publishing music from their new album Still Life early in 2022 with the release of the lead single More More More, followed by the Diamond which arrived later in June. Still Life, the album's title track is also album's third single. Mastered by Simon Scott (Slowdive), the band's album exemplifies the band's attention to detail and expertise in songwriting, as evidenced by all three singles released thus far.
Soft Set combine elements of shoegaze, dreampop, Britpop, post punk, and new wave to produce a wonderful combination of easygoing indie rock captured in pristine production and aimed at a broad range of listeners.
"Like our debut EP, Still Life provides the listener with stories of youth and nostalgia and that longing to be loved," Soft Set's Nathan Athay comments. "We feel that our music caters to all audiences and we hope everyone enjoys the songs as much as we had fun making them!"
