Metal Body by ENOLA

Darkenin Heart

ENOLA is the moniker for Australian post punk solo artist Ruby Marshall, unveiling the new single Metal Body, an effective track which expresses feelings of resentment and frustration about broken healthcare systems.

ENOLA comments on the song: “‘Metal Body’ explores our failing healthcare systems and entities, my own experiences in witnessing loved ones fall victim to these failures, and in turn feeling my own frustration of bearing witness to such.

“Sonically I leant into 90’s grunge and shoegaze as influences for this track, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine & Pixies to name a few.”

It is an intense and personal song that illustrates the emerging multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer's musicianship.

With the song unfurling through thick walls of sound and paired back verses that require a lot of attention, the anguish of the disappointments embedded in its lyricism can be heard.
