Christoph Dahlberg's compositions and sound demonstrate a genre-blending attitude, combining ambient, industrial, and electronica. Following his critically acclaimed debut album TIME, released on Sonderling Records in 2020, his second full length Blackforms is out in December 2022, connecting cinematic, experimental electronica, and ambient textures.
Blackforms is the product of nocturnal thought circles honed by Dahlberg during multi-day recording sessions. The end result unfolds as a composition that is both cinematic and very coherent. Tobias Unterberg (The Inchtabokatables, Deine Lakaien, Chamber) assisted Dahlberg, bringing an organic, chamber music aspect to Dahlberg's synthesized sound artworks.
The title track is a very emotional and atmospheric piece which demonstrates the artist's compositional stability.
Blackforms is out on the Leipzig label TELESKOP.
