Plague Pits are a Bern, Switzerland-based collective inspired by the DIY electronic tape underground of times past. They describe their music as "disco dirges for the Anthropocene – cold wave for a heating planet."
Solid is the lead track from the project's new EP Poetry From The Future. The EP's concept addresses the issue of how the future has become only conceivable as a catastrophe.
The song is a surreal EBM number about how capitalism destroys all non-profit-making forms of connection, with a sound that combines darkwave, minimal wave, and post punk features.
