Shatter by Found Space

Spen Oliver uses a DIY punk aesthetic in regard to songwriting and music, drawing inspiration from the California Burger Records scene and classic new wave music. At the age of 18, Oliver also performed live guitar with the Bay Area indie band Day Wave. This experience served as a major inspiration for the solo project Found Space.

Shatter, the newest single from Found Space, is a self-produced song with themes of getting over apathy and getting back in touch with one's origins. The song was written during solo sessions in the artist's home studio in genuine bedroom pop style.

The song was created over a period of a few months as a report for desires to let go of restraints. The first new single from Found Space in more than two years, Shatter acts as a transitional piece between the project's first two singles and future songs.

Oliver's music represents as a comfortable setting for revealing incredibly intimate realities, and works as a realization of life's limitless potential.
