Three emerging underground acts from Missouri, Abandoncy, Nightosphere, and Flooding, have just collaborated on a remarkable split release, contributing one song each. 3 Way Split offers the best of both worlds as Abandoncy is firmly grounded in a heavier sound and the other two shine in slowcore.
While Flooding on their track, This Will All Burn, try their hand at a weightier sound, Abandoncy's style on their song, Your Condition, is dense and heavy as expected but deftly veers toward a moodier slowcore approach. With their opening track, Thrasher, Nightosphere also strike a delicate balance and immediately draw the listener in.
Despite the fact that these bands appear to be quite different at first glance, 3 Way Split gives the impression of being a tightly knit release.
