Halfway Crooks by Letting Up Despite Great Faults

Darkenin Heart

Shoegazers Letting Up Despite Great Faults are getting ready to release their new Crumble EP after the release of their most recent album IV. The album's opening track, Halfway Crooks, is a shimmering dreampop track.

The term 'Halfway Crooks' was taken oddly from Mobb Deep's Shook Ones, Pt II, where they assert that there is no such thing as a halfway crook. The analogy relates to relationships and the fact that they only truly exist when both parties are fully committed.

The focus is Annah Fisette's vocal performance which stands out among an intricate sound made from smooth guitars and the bands trademark fuzzy and melodic songwriting. Written by Mike Lee, the song is the closing track of Crumble EP.
