Brighton's CIEL share the lead single, Somebody, from their upcoming Make It Better EP, which is produced and mixed by Steven Ansell, due out on July 7th, 2023 via Jazz Life.
A quick-paced and relatable track loaded up with dynamism and contagious energy, Make It Better is the follow-up to the highly lauded 2022 EPNot In The Sun, Nor In The Dark.
Frontwoman Michelle Hindriks talked about their single release: "’Somebody’ is a song that came together for most part on the spot in the studio. It's about starting to feel a deep urge to socialise, connect with others, party and be more outwards again after a period of needing solitude. Spring time is always a time when this naturally happens to me - getting out of my kind of winter hibernation and feeling that urge to be around people.”
