Live, Laugh, Love serves as the second track extracted from the soon-to-be-released EP by Wax Heart Sodality, which is scheduled to come out on September 1st, 2023. The single was recorded at The Green Dragon Studios and mixed by Steven Bardgett, who is the frontman of lo-fi indie rock band Mouses.
The band comments on the new single's lyrical content: "Lyrically, the song looks at how we reduce the complexities of life into simple, digestible slogans or concepts that eventually become abstract and irrelevant to what they’re trying to reflect upon, i.e. what you frequently see in politics, social media and the consumer industry."
Live, Laugh, Love discharges a romantic ambience reminiscent of the concluding moments of a classic film, enveloped in a mixture of gothic emotionalism and post punk delight. The song infuses a subtle touch of world-weary casualness, adding complexity to its emotional assortment.
