Wanting by Tetsu the Phoenix

Darkenin Heart

New shoegaze band Tetsu The Phoenix draw inspiration for their sound from the likes of DIIV, Ride, Pixies, and Thrice, and their debut record, See You Around, includes a song cycle based on Haruki Murakami’s The Trilogy of the Rat.

The group's commanding sound features displays from the rhythm section and guitars that alternate between intense weightiness and an airy atmosphere, creating a notable and beautiful embrace around the vocals.

Exploring the concept of friendship, encompassing both its delights and the challenges it brings, Wanting centers on the intricate dynamics between two lives. It incorporates vibrant imagery and focuses on the numerous minor wonders encountered throughout the journey of an enduring fellowship.
