Because Girls F*****g Rule marks the latest release from the Swedish group Red Mecca. The single is a high-energy darkwave track that celebrates the experience of womanhood and cherishing the journey.
The band comments on their new release: "It's a song about life itself, how to balance on the edge and be thrown between the extremes of life or maybe just go on and enjoy the ride. Anything and nothing can happen and it can happen fast!"
Jan Strandqvist, previously known for his role as the keyboardist and percussionist in the post punk band Brända Barn, is joined by vocalist Susanne Jonsson in Red Mecca whose sound is a blend of synthpop, post punk and electronica elements.
