SWiiMS, a Toronto-based alternative rock band consisting of Ken Hume on drums, Colin Thompson on guitar, Mai Diaz Langou as the singer and guitarist, and Cian O’Ruanaidh handling bass duties, is preparing for the release of their upcoming album, Into The Blue Night, set to come out on November 10th, 2023.
Their new single, All I Die For, is a compelling track that stands out with its uniform blend of uplifting instrumentals and melancholic vocal melodies. The song describes the early stages of a romantic relationship, focusing on the attempt to present oneself as more fascinating than what the reality is, in an effort to grab the other person's interest.
The song captures the feelings of optimism, euphoria, and the sense of surrender that accompanies the beginning of any new romantic connection, and it brings forward SWiiMS' beautiful dreampop foundation.
