Chelsea Wolfe has unveiled that her highly anticipated album, titled She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She, is scheduled for release on February 9th, 2024, under the Loma Vista Recordings label.
A haunting preview of the album's atmosphere can be found in Whispers in the Echo Chamber, accompanied by a mesmerizing music video filmed in the backdrop of Bogotá, Colombia, under the direction of George Gallardo Kattah.
Chelsea comments on the song and the new album: "The song is about cutting cords from patterns, relationships, and situations that hold you back from growing. It’s about seeking what you need within yourself, instead of constantly reaching outward. It’s about self-acceptance. This song is a rebirth.
"It’s my sincere hope that this song and ultimately the full album will help inspire others to empower themselves. I’m right there with you on that journey – as I wrote these songs, they demanded to be lived."
As explained by director George Gallardo Kattah: “A sound void detonates a metaphor of sleep paralysis, carried by a symbiotic relationship that has love at its core… From the external to the internal, the spirit of a bird that can’t fly takes the necessary steps towards breathing deep, as their counterpart reveals her inner landscapes by truly listening within herself.”
On the video, Chelsea Wolfe mentions: "To emphasize and expand upon what George shared, this video feels like a love story between myself and my sleep paralysis entity, who, for the sake of this video, represents a calm inner voice cutting through mental chatter and anxiety to help guide me towards a more authentic path. From the inward to the outward, this entity shows me the expansiveness of new possibilities, if only I’ll take the first difficult steps."
