everett (feat. Midwife) by body / negative

Everett, the third release from body / negative, Andy Schiaffino's solo project as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, was mastered by Slowdive's Simon Scott. It is a really emotional lo-fi album that combines elements of shoegaze and ambient sounds, and occasionally ventures into experimental realms.

Madeline Johnston, known as Midwife, collaborated with Andy in co-producing a part of the album and contributing additional vocals to the eponymous track, Everett.

Andy openly acknowledges that this album reflects the most vulnerable aspects of their mentality. The majority of the songs were composed and recorded during their time caring for their terminally ill father in hospice. In a heartfelt dedication, the entire album is devoted to their late mother and father.

Everett undeniably holds deep, heartfelt memories at its essence, artfully expressed through its tender and sentimental melodies.
