Not A Fire by Magnetic Skies

Darkenin Heart

British synthpop group Magnetic Skies have unveiled their most recent single and video, Not A Fire, to coincide with the release of their first album, Empire Falling. The new track delivers a compelling level of emotion, reminiscent of the band's earlier singles.

Frontman Simon Kent, who describes the track as a love song, conveys all the sentiment with his confident vocals. Additionally, keyboardist Jo Womar's vocals make an appearance in the chorus, providing an extra layer of weight.

Simon Kent describes the band's new material: "The album is reflective, poetic, and it takes you on a journey lyrically, and in mood from sad nostalgia through to happiness and euphoria. I hope the listener can relate to the sounds and lyrics, find some connection on a personal level – I'd like to move them in an emotional way.

"It's nice to close the opening chapter on the band and capture the songs that evolved as the band came together from a duo to a 4-piece, and while we were learning how to work together."

Magnetic Skies' characteristic maximalist approach to their music is on full display in this new single, offering an exciting peek into what can be anticipated from their debut album.
