Discount marks the first single from the expected album Stab! by the Swedish alternative rock group Agent blå. Their band's style seamlessly incorporates post punk and shoegaze influences, presenting a distinctive sound characterized by reverberating guitars, evocative melodies, and poignant vocals.
The recording for the album took place at Studio Bella Figura in Gothenburg, where the band favored notably minimalistic conditions. These circumstances played a crucial role in shaping the overall sonic identity of their new music.
According to the band, "the first single Discount is about finding familiarity in having something haunting you. Befriending the void as a necessity."
The band consists of Emelie Alatalo (vocals), Felix Skörvald (guitar, synth), Lucas Gustavsson (guitar), Sebastian Falk (bass), Arvid Christensen (drums), and Tobias Bauer (keys, guitar, percussion).
Stab! will be released April 12th, 2024 on Kanine Records (USA) and VÅRØ Records (Sweden).
