Eighteen Hundred and Froze to Death emerged in upstate New York in the late nineties, crafting a style of post punk/indie rock reminiscent of the era's distinctive sounds and local scenes.
The band's new full length, Thirds, revisits these past sounds with greater dynamism, featuring fuzzed out guitars, mellower interludes, memorable choruses, and occasional classic rock elements. Their new work builds on the band’s early nervy noise rock, combining hard rock and metal influences, and enhancing it with the melodicism of punk rock.
