soft spun gold is the final single and accompanying video which coincides with the release of ghost beach EP, the anticipated new work by dayaway.

Amber Renee describes the track and the EP: “‘soft spun gold’ is such a tender and sincere song. It’s about a lifetime lived and the people we love along the way. Time passes so quickly. An entire life might feel as brief as a song, especially if you’re having fun doing it. I’m a scorpio, so I sometimes think about death entirely too much. This song is about wanting to stay, even when you know it’s time to go.

dayaway's music has established itself as exquisitely wistful, and the feelings it stirs up are only amplified with the release of frequent singles. Their songs are exceptional and dreamlike, conjuring up an imaginative yet immersive world.

Renee continues to explain: “This collection of songs is about the ghosts of the past and how we’ll all become ghosts in the end. And that’s beautiful to me. The fact that it’s all so fleeting and momentary. We had a lot of fun making these songs & videos, and I’m so happy to release it out into the world, but it’s funny because I already know I’ll miss this time. You can never hold a moment for long.”
