Irish feminist post punk trio M(h)aol will release their new album Something Soft on May 16th, 2025 via Merge Records and TULLE. Following the recent single DM:AM, the band unveiled another track, the heartfelt I Miss My Dog, together with a video made of crowd-sourced clips of fans’ pets.
M(h)aol's Constance Keane expands: “'I Miss My Dog' is a song about my dog Poppy, and the experience of losing a pet. She passed away in July last year, and I still sometimes wake up thinking she’s with us. I think losing a dog is something that people either understand or they don’t, and this is a song for those of us that do.”
Something Soft's takes an unreserved stance on consumerism, animal welfare, intersectional feminism, and the quest for acceptance in an insensitive world. A DIY mentality permeates the album together with every facet of M(h)aol.
