Aries Crux is a solo musician based out of New Haven, Connecticut, creating dark blends of post punk, goth, and new wave. Alongside his solo work, he also holds down the low end as bassist in the goth rock duo Midnight Psychic.
The Aries Crux project started in 2025 as a return to the guitar for the artist, and it was also an outlet for his fascination with the haunting beauty of eighties-inspired tones. This expressive take on post punk is layered seamlessly with shimmering synths and pulsing drum machines.
Channeling the restless intensity of the genre, Aries Crux confronts social and political tensions directly in terms of theme and intention. The newest single, From the Outside In, is a reflection on the influence of propaganda and the ways it reshapes thought and perception.
The track charges forward with a pure post punk edge, while making use of the hazy elegance of dreampop, striking a balance between urgency and atmosphere that feels inviting.
