My Own Burial is a darkwave and post punk project based in Barcelona, created by Fernando R. Sendon in 2018 who writes, produces, and shapes the project’s brooding sonic identity. For live performances, he’s joined by bassist Aaron Fecal, with whom he shares other musical ventures.
Their latest release, Complain, dives into the unsettling psychology of someone who turns vulnerability into a tool, using it but to command attention and evade responsibility, and not for connection. The track unfolds with a sound that echoes both tension and beauty. It’s a conceptually rich and sonically intense work that deepens the dark aesthetic of My Own Burial while pushing their music into new emotional areas.
