eat-girls is a three-piece band shaping their sound from the intimacy of their apartment. Their music drifts across genres from pop and post punk to minimal synth, krautrock, dub among others, without ever settling into one. Off The is a prime example, an elusive and genre-defying track.
The song traces a fragmented path toward healing and self-recognition. It dwells in disorientation and brokenness, yet leans gently into the slow, deliberate act of mending, physical and emotional. At its core, Off The is a poetic contemplation on vulnerability.
The accompanying music video, directed by Nathan Carême, centers on three statues unearthed from an archaeological site, each cautiously transported and restored within a sterile facility. This kind of care suggests a future where these fractured figures might be seen anew, revalued in a perhaps reframed situation.
