Golden Hours return with their second full length offering, Beyond Wires, set to release on January 16th, 2026 via Fuzz Club. To mark the announcement, they’ve unveiled the lead single, The Letter, accompanied by a stark lyric video.
“The Letter is a well-aimed punch in the gut, a punch feeling so good that some would say it was most welcome” says bassist/vocalist Wim Janssens. “When all the letters of refusals, the unwanted bills and obituaries pile up to an insurmountable block in the brain, it can turn even the most stable minds among us into schizophrenic monsters, when forced to face the music head on, armed with nothing but the strength of desperation.”
Driven by guitars drenched in distortion, The Letter delivers its message with a cool detachment and lyrical precision. It’s a track that speaks to anyone who’s wandered through the wreckage of disillusionment. Golden Hours channel the immediacy of post punk into a roaring descent, tangled in themes of alienation and emotional fallout.
The band comprises Hákon Aðalsteinsson, Wim Janssens, Tobias Humble, and Rodrigo Fuentealba Palavacino, veterans of the underground whose collective résumé includes stints with Gang Of Four, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Tricky, The Fuzztones, and more. They have formed a formidable force wired for impact.
“With the new album, the band is stealthily moving closer to a sonic space that we can call our own”, says Wim.
