Human Animal by Whirling In Rags

Darkenin Heart

Norwegian act Whirling In Rags introduce themselves with Human Animal, a first release that moves with a steady, unhurried darkness and density. Carrying a thread of lineage from gothic rockers Batboner, the new project shifts those earlier gothic impulses toward something more earthbound, folk‑leaning, dim, and quietly absorbing.

The darkly beautiful track lingers in that space where feeling and perception blur, letting each moment unfold at its own pace. Its chill is unmistakable, yet there’s an intimacy embedded in it that keeps the music close rather than distant.

Vocals and instrumentation settle into a deliberate cadence, almost like a strange narrative with a dreamlike feel, told by vocalist Darija Dììs. That gentle restraint gives the song its charm, allowing reflection to sit alongside unease.
