Upstate is the latest single from Eric Angelo Bessel’s forthcoming two-track EP, Mirror at Night B-Sides, a companion release to his 2025 record Mirror at Night. The EP presents two new instrumental works that extend the sonic world of the original.
Following the recent, Double Helix, the new piece unfolds with a quiet, atmospheric presence, portraying a world where memory and imagination coexist. Its textures move with a natural, almost spontaneous pace, implying something felt rather than entirely understood, an impression that settles slowly but surely, producing a persistent, comforting effect.
