Boleskine House Blues by The Devil Is Real

Darkenin Heart

The Devil Is Real continue their descent into the strange and supernatural with Boleskine House Blues as the third collaboration between King Dude and Justin Pittney. Rooted in a grim atmosphere and driven by a sharp rock and roll pulse, the track pushes the duo deeper into a world of occult mysticism. The final master was transferred to tape by renowned engineer Fred Kevorkian, known for his work with White Stripes and The National.

Musically, the song finds the project in a more urgent and infectious form. It balances dark melodic hooks with a rough-edged intensity, while subtle traces of fresh alternative guitar based sounds broaden its reach.

Lyrically and conceptually, the single takes inspiration from two infamous moments in occult history centered around the pursuit of the Holy Guardian Angel. One thread reaches back to the 16th-century Enochian system created by John Dee and Edward Kelley, while the other references Aleister Crowley’s 1899 Abramelin ritual at the notorious Boleskine House, a location long associated with curses and paranormal lore.
