Mexican-American artist Ara Cristina Hernandez works across music, songwriting, production, and visual art, creating immersive pieces that blur the line between sound and image. Her work is driven by curiosity, intuition, and a desire to explore the unknown, often uncovering moments of beauty and clarity through experimentation. Based in Austin, Texas, she approaches creativity as a process of discovery rather than destination.
BLACK HOLE, the first single from her forthcoming album IMMINENCE, imagines a surreal end-of-the-world scenario in which the planet is consumed by a black hole. Dark, cinematic, and unsettling, the track pairs industrial textures and haunting atmospheres with influences from both popular dark acts and sound from the underground. Its accompanying video takes cues from the dreamlike tension and psychological unease of David Lynch’s Lost Highway.
