It is true that betrayal rarely disappears easily. On Dead Inside, A Place To Bury Strangers feed its lingering fear into blown-out guitars and pulverizing post punk momentum, creating an emotionally direct and physically overwhelming track.
The single is taken from Rare And Deadly, the band’s rarities collection which came out earlier in 2026, but there is nothing fragmentary or incidental about it. Oliver Ackermann’s description, “fear, obsession, heartbreak, and rage all wrapped together,” captures a song that turns private devastation into a violent form of release.
The single reveal of Dead Inside precedes APTBS’ UK tour launch at Green Man Festival the day after its release.
