Moving on is rarely a clean break, and In Hindsight expresses how progress can becomes tangled with memory, as Mayflower Madame measure the desire to leave something behind against the longing that keeps drawing someone back.
The track reveals a lighter yet no less atmospheric side of the Norwegian group, allowing dreampop shimmer and indie rock melody to emerge from their familiar post punk pulse and shoegaze airiness. It leads a new edition of 2024’s Insight, released together with five previously unheard recordings from the same sessions.
Mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio, the expanded album stretches from immediate pop instincts into darker territory shaped by psychedelia and spectral darkwave.
