Low by HOOFS

Darkenin Heart

Amsterdam outfit HOOFS channel frustration into abrasive energy on Low, a tense collision of post punk, punk rock and noise. The track confronts the false promise of individuality, when society encourages people to find their own voice, only to judge and discipline them once they say something unwelcome.

Low captures the fatigue of repeatedly putting yourself forward while being made to feel that visibility itself was a mistake.

HOOFS turn their concept into something raw and confrontational. Punk urgency keeps the song moving while distortion gives its anger a rough physical edge, refusing the restraint demanded by its subject. It is a track that makes the consequences of enforced silence impossible to ignore.
