Far West is the lo-fi bedroom pop project by San Francisco-based artist Ryan Settles. Since 2020 the project has come up with a series of eight releases, the latest of which is the surf pop track a to z. For this one Far West collaborates with producer, Ben Etter, who has worked with artists like Washed Out, Hazel English and Cut Copy.
Upbeat jangle pop and synthpop with candid lyrics leads to a nostalgic and balmy effect, and a songwriting style which calls attention to the prospects of Far West.
