Kraków Loves Adana Fill The Darkenin Heart Questionnaire

Darkenin Heart

What do you consider to be the darkest piece of music you’ve ever heard?
Nine Inch Nails - "Hurt".

How would you characterize your own music?
Dreamy with a melancholic twist.

What are your musical aspirations?
I try not to compare my music to other people’s too much. The most important thing for me is to make music that stems from a place of sincerity.

What are your main musical inspirations?
They always change but at the moment it’s definitely The Cure‘s "Disintegration" but also people I know like Chromatic‘s Adam Miller. I find it interesting to see what approach other artists have, what influences them and how that manifests in their music.

What are your main goals in life?
My main goal in life is to be content with what I already have and to live in the now, to not overthink too much, rush too much, want too much. I read somewhere that the meaning of life is life itself and I find that this describes it rather well and gives me some kind of comfort.

What motivates you to create?
Not much really except my affinity to music itself - I find that action comes before motivation and inspiration. Once I sit at my desk I feel the need to create not vice versa.

Are you more of an early bird or a night owl?
I still haven’t figured that out - I am probably somewhat in between.

Which is the very first record that had a big impact on you?
Probably Bright Eyes‘ "Fevers & Mirrors".

What is the best decade for music?
Kind of hackneyed but definitely the 80s.

What do your future plans include?
I am working on a guitar record including an amazing collaboration which is probably coming out in 2022.
