December is the second single from Magnus Josefsson's new label The Mirror Factory, a meditative track based on a riff the artist developed at soundcheck during a tour in Germany on a cold December. Eventually, the song developed into something elaborate.
"I think December has a great feeling of success and finally reaching the finish line," Josefsson says.
The music is post rock-based with refined folk elements which express the rural southern Sweden from where Josefsson's main inspiration derives. December was mastered by Simon Scott (Slowdive), and features a team of contributors, Magnus Olsson (Melissa Horn), Christoffer Gunrup (The Amazing), Sylvester Schlegel (The Ark), Andreas Stellan (Dungen) and Heather Phillips (Starry Skies from Glasgow).
