San Francisco-based shoegaze Young Prisms was formed in San Francisco in the late 2000s, and released two acclaimed albums, as well as some other EP releases and split singles with Weekend, Small Black and Mathemagic. After an extended ten-year hiatus, Young Prisms return with new single Yourside at their new home label Fire Talk.
The band comments: "Yourside is written through the perspective of someone comforting a grieving soul who has experienced a devastating loss and letting them know that they're supported."
In the style of the shoegaze melancholy which has made their music distinctive, the new track Yourside signifies a brand new chapter in Young Prisms' course. Despite the long gap between releases, the band's sound seems still relevant.
