Vancouver, BC band Did You Die unveil Weightless, the first single and video from their upcoming album Thirteen Moons. The full length was recorded between November 2020 and May 2021, at a time when the band's members Richie Felix Alexander and Madison Penland went homeless for a month during the pandemic, but went on to become roommates and finish the album.
Weightless finds the band utilizing their nineties alternative rock influences, bringing a blend of guitar-driven shoegaze and grunge. The song's accompanying video was shot and edited by Alexander in Vancouver, BC, and it features Becca Buick. Alexander also opted to not work with external producers or engineers for the new album, so that he wouldn't have to compromise on its sound and feel.
Did You Die are rounded out by bassist and vocalist Jula Lafit, and drummer Tom Rapanakis. Thirteen Moons will be out on January 1st, 2022 from Blew//Rose.
