Melbourne-based darkwave act Hackitt describe their sound as "future-goth" which seems an appropriate and accurate characterization given their music's dark inclinations and combination of darkwave and post punk elements.
Single Back of Love expresses the darkness found in the totality of Departures, Hackitt's second full length which was just released. The track combines energy with agitation, delivered through rich layers of production, and synth and drum machine-based instrumentals.
